Information for presenters

Poster Guidelines

Please follow the guidelines below for preparing and presenting your poster:

  • Poster displays will be limited to one side of a board.
  • Posters must be in vertical (portrait) format.
  • Recommended size: A0 (84.1 cm x 119.8 cm). Maximum accepted: 100 cm (width) x 120 cm (height).
  • Include the abstract title, author(s), institution(s), and contact details.
  • Each poster will have a unique number matching its display panel.
  • Pins will be provided to mount your poster on the board.

On the Day of Your Poster Presentation

  • Check your assigned poster number in the program booklet.
  • Locate the board with your number and mount your poster.
  • Ask volunteers for help if needed.
  • The designated presenter must be present at the assigned time and place.
  • Remove your poster at the end of the day.

Poster Printing Options

Several printing services are available near the venue. BCBL researchers typically use the following:

Oral Presentations (Individual & Symposia)

  • A dedicated room (Zurriola Room) will be available near the auditorium for uploading presentations.
  • IT support will be available. Bring your presentation in PowerPoint or PDF on a USB stick.
  • Personal laptops are not permitted for presentations.
  • Monday presenters must arrive by 08:00 to upload their slides.
  • Other presenters should upload their slides the day before their scheduled presentation (Tuesday presenters after 12:00 on Monday).

Individual Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • Sessions include five individual talks.
  • Each talk lasts 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.

Symposium Guidelines

  • Symposia are 100-minute thematic sessions.
  • Structure options:
    • 4 talks (20 minutes each + 5 minutes Q&A).
    • 3 talks (20 minutes each + 5 minutes Q&A) plus a general discussion (20 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A).
