I am interested in how the brain is able to understand single words and combine them in order to achieve full comprehension of complex sentences. I use behavioural and electrophysiological techniques (EEG/MEG) to investigate the temporal sequence of key cognitive processes involved in language perception, from semantic to syntactic analysis. I also investigate how these cognitive mechanisms change due to experiential factors, which reveals the extraordinary plasticity of human brain. My research interests fall within the domains of cognitive neuroscience, psycholinguistics, and neurodevelopmental psychology.
