Visual and Auditory Processing in Deaf Children with Cochlear Implants

Corina, D.

In this work we will examine data from a longitudinal study of children who received cochlear implants prior to three years of age and age matched hearing controls. The documentation of visual evoked potentials permits assessments of cortical plasticity due to early auditory deprivation. In addition we report on the development of ERP signatures of lexical processing.
